Fifteen senators elected on the p,atform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) dumped the party earlier today. Senate President Bukola Saraki made the announcement during plenary.
All the senators were reported to have decamped to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) but one of them, Senator Monsurat Sunmonu has said she did not decamp to the PDP.

She explained in another a follow up text message that “my defection is as a result of issues within the APC Oyo stat chapter”
She added: “As we know, politics is local and despite the rhetoric, there has been little or no effort at the State level to reconcile differences by incorporating various stakeholders and interests.
“I hereby declare affiliation with the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
