The Osolo of Isolo and paramount ruler of Isolo kingdom in Lagos State, Oba Kabiru Adelaja Agbabiaka, Adeola Olushi III, has joined his ancestors.
The 64-year-old monarch reportedly passed away on Wednesday at the Lagos State Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), shortly after observing the Eid prayers.
The cause of his death could not be ascertained at the time of filing this report.
Meanwhile, Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has mourned the passing of Oba Agbabiaka.
The governor, in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, commiserated with the people of Isolo and the family of the monarch.
Sanwo-Olu described the passage of Oba Agbabiaka as a great loss to the traditional institution in the state and Lagos State as a whole.
He said the late traditional ruler, during his lifetime, rendered selfless service to the people of Isolo and Lagos State.
