The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has reportedly picked immediate past governor of Borno State, Senator Kashim Shettima, as his running mate.
News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) had earlier reported that Tinubu will inform President Muhammadu Buhari about the choice of his running mate during a Sallah homage to the president in his hometown of Daura, Katsina State, on Sunday (today).
Buhari has been in Daura since Friday for the Eid-el Kabir celebration.
Recall that Shettima played a lead role in the build up to the presidential primaries campaign of Tinubu.
Shettima, who currently represents Borno Central Senatorial District in the upper chamber of the National Assembly, is a two-term Governor of Borno State.
