Super Eagles captain, John Mikel Obi has signed for Chinese club, Tianjin TEDA, becoming the latest ex-Premier League star to move to the Chinese Super League.
It was gathered that Mikel will earn £140,000 a week at his new club.
The 29-year-old underwent a medical on Thursday as he prepared to become the second player to swap West London for the Far East, following Oscar who has signed for Shanghai SIPG.
Mikel was thought to be on his way to Spanish side, Valencia, but the talks later brke down over his wage demand. Inter Milan and Marselle had also shown interest.
Mikel wrote a message to his Chelsea fans.
