A socio-political group, Coalition for A Better Nigeria, has said former Publicity Secretary of Afenifere, Comrade Yinka Odumakin, and former Country and West African Director of Ford Foundation and Founder of Cleen Foundation, Innocent Chukwuma, are irreplaceable on their one year remembrance.
This was contained in a statement issued on Sunday by the President-General of the group, Comrade Awa Bamiji, on the occasion of the one year anniversary of their death.
The coalition lauded the immeasurable impact of the duo during their sojourn on earth. saying they left a large vacuum that has not been filled.
It prayed that God will continue to be with their families, friends and associates.
The group congratulated the national leader of All Progressives’ Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, on his 70th birthday, describing him as a “master strategist” and a visionary leader worth of emulating.
“It’s a known fact that there’s no Nigerian today, who has contributed to democratic freedom more than you.Your enviable record of achievements as a former governor of Lagos State is there for all to see,”
“We also celebrate the vice president, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Prof Yemi Osinbajo @ 65; the first lady of Osun State, Alhaja Kafayat Oyetola @62; as well as elder statesman and music maestro, Ebenezer Obey Fabiyi @80,” the statement read.
It also congratulated Muslims across the world on the ongoing Ramadan fasting, enjoining them to always abide by the important lessons of Ramadan, which emphasises on the fear of Allah and peaceful coexistence.
