Vice President-elect, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has said that public school teachers in the country will get free tertiary education when the next administration is sworn in on May 29.
Osinbajo made the disclosure on Wednesday during a consultative meeting with Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State and members of Nigerian Union of Teachers, NUT in Ikeja.
The vice president-elect lamented that “one of the basic problems confronting education in the country was lack of training for teachers especially those in the public schools.”
He noted that continuous education for teachers is one of the core programmes of the next administration.
