Osun governor, Oyetola, appoints The Nation’s Adeniyi Adesina as CPS

Osun state Governor, Gboyega Oyetola has announced the appointment of Mr. Adeniyi Adesina as his Chief Press Secretary (CPS). According to a statement, the appointment takes immediate effect.

Until his current appointment, Adesina was The Nation’s Deputy Editor in charge of News.

As CPS, he will oversee and coordinate the governor’s strategic communication and media matters. He will also project an effective interface between the Governor, the media and all segments of the state’s citizenry.

Adesina’s 28-year career in journalism has seen him work with leading titles such as Prime People (1990 -1992), National Concord (1993-1999), Punch (2000-2006), News Star as Editor (2007-2009), from where he joined The Nation in 2010.

He holds a Master’s degree in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos. He has also undergone further media training in the United Kingdom and Denmark.

Adesina, who hails from Ilesa East Local Government, is married and blessed with
