The Oyo State Government will on Thursday, October 25, 2018 host another edition of the Federal Government Special Town meeting.
A statement by the Oyo state Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Toye Arulogun, said “the town hall meeting will focus on infrastructure “in line with one of the cardinal objectives of the President Buhari led administration of infrastructural revival and accelerated development of our railways, roads, industries and power amongst others.”.
It will hold at the Emeritus Professor Theophilus Ogunlesi Hall, Opposite U.C.H, by 10:00am.
Arulogun, in his statement on Sunday, said the town hall meeting, which has Governor Abiola Ajimobi as host, will be an avenue for the federal government delegation to communicate government’s policies and activities as well as receive feedback on infrastructural development.
Arulogun noted that the parley will provide a platform for stakeholders in the construction and transportation sectors, policy makers and the general public to gainfully engage with the federal cabinet ministers in discussing the journey so far, the challenges and the way forward in the provision of massive infrastructure within the limited resources of the nation.
He stated that the Minister of Information & Culture, Alhaji Lai Muhammed will be accompanied to the town hall meeting by the Ministers of Power, Works & Housing; Water Resources; Finance; Health and Budget and National Planning.
