The embattled Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita, on Wednesday made a surprise appearance at the Presidential villa, Abuja.
This comes after reports had it on Monday she had submitted her letter of voluntary retirement from the civil service to President Muhammadu Buhari following her investigation by the EFCC over alleged N3 billion contract scam.
The Presidency has however denied receiving any letter from her.
Oyo-Ita, who was absent at the two-day retreat organised for ministers- designate, federal permanent secretaries and top government functionaries in Abuja, arrived the forecourt of the state house in her official SUV around 9.45 a.m. and walked straight to the office of the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari.
Recall that on Tuesday, she did not show up at the retreat where she was scheduled to speak on ‘Consolidating Ongoing Reforms in the Public Service.’
