The number of COVID-19 cases in Oyo State is now 1,055, after the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced 67 new cases on Tuesday.
According to data obtained from the NCDC website, Oyo State currently has 755 active cases, while 291 patients have been discharged.
Nine patients have also died from COVID-19 related complications in the state.
Recall that Oyo State Government recently started conducting free COVID-19 tests at community-based testing centres across the state.
According to Governor Seyi Makinde: “If you have any strange fevers, sudden loss of taste/smell or other known COVID-19 symptoms, please visit the nearest centre to get tested. “
