The Executive Secretary, Oyo State Health Insurance Agency (OYSHIA), Dr. Sola Akande, has commended the new Aseyin of Iseyin, Oba Sefiu Oyebola, Adeyeri II, for registering 100 people into health insurance scheme.
Akande, who gave the commendation in Ibadan, urged other traditional rulers in the state to emulate Aseyin.
“It was a nice outing we had in Iseyin on Friday when we visited Aseyin’s palace . One of the things he said is to get Iseyin citizens in health insurance and he walked the talk.
“Right there, he made payment for 100 lives and his plan is actually to bring 2500 lives in Iseyin community into the scheme.
“He is planning to talk to his people in diaspora to bring them onboard, and bring in some fund. He is also planning to talk to friends and citizens of Iseyin to be able to show up.
“As a matter of fact, he said the N13,500 individual plan is small, that in the US, one may pay $500.
“He also put himself on our standard peak. He too is tasting the scheme and not only enrolling people. He and his family had immediate enrollment. I salute him and pray that his reign will be known for peace.
The OYSHIA boss urged traditional rulers in the state to think about their peoples’ welfare.
