Oyo State Health Insurance Agency (OYSHIA) has promised to bring the informal sector into into the state’s health insurance scheme.
The Executive Secretary of the agency, Dr Sola Akande disclosed this while featuring on a radio programme in Ibadan on Saturday.
“One of the key areas that any health insurance must address is the informal sector group. Whatsoever you want to do, however you want to do it, when you are not getting the informal sector into your basket, it is not sure that you will be able to reach universal health coverage.
“We are trying as much as possible to be able to get that done in Oyo State,” he said.
