The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has fixed March 27, 2024 for the screening of its Ondo State governorship aspirants.
A statement issued on Saturday by the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, said the party’s congress where its governorship candidate will emerge will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2024.
He said the sale of expression of interest, nomination forms, and Ad-hoc forms commenced on March 7 and concluded on March 21.
According to Ologunagba, the deadline for submitting a completed expression of interest and Ad-hoc forms is March 25.
The aspirants who purchased the forms are the former deputy governor of Ondo State, Agboola Ajayi, Akinwumi Adeolu, Bamidele Akingboye, Olusola Ebiseni, Kolade Akinjo, Bosun Arebuwa and John Mafo.
Ologunagba said former governor of Ebonyi State, Sam Egwu, and Chief Rahman Owokoniran are the Chairman and Secretary of the Ondo State Governorship Screening Committee, respectively.
Other members of the committee include Sen. Isa Shuaibu Lau, Chief Emmanuel Ogidi, Mrs. Olivia Dazyman, Barr. Tanko Beji, Mrs. Gladys Ashemuke and Caroline Akinsete, who has been designated as the Administrative Secretary.
“All governorship aspirants, critical stakeholders, leaders and members of our party in Ondo State are to take note and be guided accordingly,” the statement added
