In his efforts to make the learning environment conducive for pupils, the lawmaker representing Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon Akin Alabi, constructed and refurbished nine blocks of classrooms at St. Paul Anglican Primary School, Olukunle, Olodo, Ibadan.
Alabi had since handed over the keys to the classrooms to the community leaders in the area.

While handing the keys to the leaders, the All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain enjoined the community to make good use of the facilities, adding that he won’t relent in his efforts to ensure that his constituents are properly empowered.
”I am happy for what we are doing here today. And I am also happy for your support so far. I am impressed by your understanding before, during and after the construction work. I want to urge you all to see this project as yours. Let’s all see to the management of the schools. We all know government struggles to get fund now. If we maintain the ones we have, it will be good for us.

“We have never been found wanting in the discharge of our duties, both legislative and oversight. I make bold to say that there are just few weekends that I stayed back in Abuja since I was elected. It’s always been about my people. I don’t need to repeat to you about what I have been doing as to the empowerment of the people of Egbeda/Ona Ara. Our needs aren’t the same, and we can say that we have done well in empowering our people and assisting communities. We aren’t relenting, we have more in the bag and I am grateful for the show of love,” the lawmaker said.
Community and political leaders who took turns to talk, praised Alabi for his efforts.

They said it has been long since they were represented by a lawmaker that has ideas and knows how to achieve them.
