No fewer than two persons lost their lives in a fire incident at the Ogbomoso residence of former governor of Oyo State, Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala.
It was gathered that the residence, located in Randa area of Ogbomoso, was razed by fire on Monday morning.
The fire incident, which occurred between 7:30am and 8am on Monday, was attributed to a power surge.
The extent of the damage could not be ascertained as of now, but it was learnt that the two people that lost their lives were living in the house.
One of the victims, according to reports, died instantly while the other one gave up the ghost at Bowen Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso.
Political associates and friends of the former governor have been visiting the house to commiserate with the Alao- Akala family over the fire incident.
