Nigeria Under-17 team defeated Chile 2-1 to book a quarter final ticket at the ongoing FIFA women’s U-17 world cup in India.
Blessing Emmanuel gave the Flamingos a fourth minute lead before Bisola Mosaku added the second in the 82nd minute.
Chile’s consolatory goal was scored form the penalty spot by T.S. Rovner Yudelevich in the dying minutes of the game.
The Flamingos who lost to Germany in their opening game of the tournament got their campaign back on track after walloping New Zealand 4-0 in their second Group B game last Friday.
The Flamingos, who came second behind Germany in Group B with 6 points, will take on the team that finish top of Group A.
