The lawmaker who represented Oyo South Senatorial District between 2011 and 2015, Olufemi Lanlehin, has confirmed that he would be part of the 2019 general elections.
He disclosed this in an exclusive chat with Newspeakonline on the sideline of the burial rites for the Director General of the Development Agenda for Western Nigeria (DAWN) Commission, Mr Dipo Famakinwa, in Ibadan on Monday.
Lanlehin contested and won the Senate seat under the platform of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in 2011 but defected to Accord party in 2014 when ACN transformed to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He lost his position to the APC candidate, Sen. Adesoji Akanbi in the 2015 election.
Since then, Lanlehin has strategically reduced his political exposure.
But he confirmed to newspeakonline that he would surely be part of the next general election.
But the politician did not disclose whether he would contest for the governorship or senatorial seat this time.
He was a governorship aspirant in 2011 and has since then sustained his ambition for Agodi Government House.
