The senate on Tuesday rejected President Muhammadu Buhari’s request for authorisation to borrow about $29.6billion
The president, last week, requested the National Assembly to approve external borrowing plan of $29.960 billion to execute key infrastructural projects across the country between 2016 and 2018.
The Majority Leader of the House, Femi Gbajabiamila, was quoted on Monday as saying that the House of Representatives would approve the loan but the House is yet to decide.
However, on Tuesday, Senators turned down the request due to lack of documents supporting the request as referenced in the letter
