The Oyo State Police Command has stated that it is working hard to rescue the kidnapped twins of Oba Lekan Balogun, urging the public to be patient.
The twins were kidnapped in Ibadan last week with their abductors demanding N100 million ransom. A family source hiwever saud the ransom has been reduced to N40million.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, SP Adekunle Ajisebutu, on Sunday assured that the children would be rescued soon, saying that “search for the abducted children is being intensified. We are not resting on our oars.”
He urged members of the public to volunteer information that can help the police in the rescue mission
Ajisebutu also stated that the Command has put up measures such as aggressive patrol, raiding of criminal hide-outs and gathering up-to-date intelligence to prevent a reoccurence and improve security.
