There is confusion across Nigeria over claims that Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN) is dead.
Some media had claimed that the ailing governor died in Lagos.
Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and other stakeholders in the state have taken to social media to seek clarification about the news.
Some media had quoted a family source as saying the 67-year-old governor died in Lagos, on Wednesday.
The reports had claimed that Akeredolu was managed by State House doctors up to his death because they could not fly him abroad.
“Akeredolu is dead; he died in Lagos.
“They were looking for dialysis machines to be sent to his secret location in Lagos last week,” the source had said.
The ailing governor returned to Nigeria in September following a three-month medical leave in Germany and only recently proceeded on another one after he was directed by President Bola Tinubu to hand over power to his deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
His deputy, Aiyedatiwa has been standing in as Acting Governor.
The Ondo State Government is yet to react to the report as of the time of filing this report
