Reports have it that five oil wells are currently on fire in Ondo State.
It was gathered that a huge fire broke out in Ajegunle Ikorigho community on Thursday and affected parts of Oju-Imole which is located in Ikorigho land in Ilaje Local Government Area of the state.
The affected oil wells are said to be Isan-West field, Parable field, Malu field, Ororo and Opokaba.
Newspeakonline understands that the fire, which actually started about a week ago at the Oju-Imole field, spread to Otumara, Ikorigho, Ajegunle-Ikorigho, Zion Ikorigho, Iluayo, Kendo Ayeren and Ehinmoghan-Ikorigho communities.
Reports say farmlands and water bodies in affected communities have been badly affected.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
