President Muhammadu Buhari has committed a major blunder in his presidency by appointing a dead second republic Senator, Francis Okpozo, as Board Chairman of the Nigerian Press Council.
Late Okpozo is included in the list of board chairmen and members released by the Secretary to tge Government of the Federation (SGF) on Friday.
Senator Okpozo died at the age of 82, in December 2016. Incidentally, the Presidency issued a statement on December 28, 2016 expressing condolences to the government of Delta State on his death.
Princess Akporaro, a consultant psychologist at FRCN Radio Nigeria Abuja, who claims to be a niece of the late Okpozo, doesn’t know what to make of the appointment.
In an Instagram post, she wrote: “President Buhari appoints my late uncle Senator Francis Okpozo as Chairman, Nigeria Press Council Over one year after his death! Jesu! Onana Icinema!”
