Delta State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, and his wife Edith, have gone into 14 days isolation after one of their daughters tested positive for coronavirus.
The governor made the disclosure in a post on his verified Twitter handle.
“Earlier today, Edith and I received the news that one of our daughters has tested positive for #COVID19. Hence, in-line with the laid out procedures, we are both going into isolation for the next 14-days.
“We will continue to keep you all updated,” Okowa tweeted.
The governor enjoined residents of the state to continue to adhere to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) guidelines on coronavirus prevention such as washing of hands with soap and running water, use of face masks and observing social distance.
