Facebook and Instagram are experiencing global technical issues, with millions of users complaining about logging errors while accessing the social media platforms on Tuesday.
The disruptions began on Tuesday afternoon, with over 300,000 reports of outages for Facebook and about 40,000 reports for Instagram.
Although the cause of the issues remains unclear, Andy Stone, the spokesperson of Meta, the parent company of both platforms, disclosed that they are aware of the problem.
“We’re aware people are having trouble accessing our services. We are working on this now,” Stone wrote on X.
Many Facebook and Instagram users have visited X to express their frustration while some, including X owner, Elon Musk, taunted Meta.
“If you’re reading this post, it’s because our servers are working,” Musk wrote on X.
