Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, has directed anyone serving in his administration who would like to contest the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primaries in the state to tender his or her resignation latest December 18.
The directive was contained in a statement signed by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Yinka Oyebode, on Wednesday.
According to the statement, the development became imperative in order to ensure that cohesion and excellent service delivery, two major hallmarks of the administration, remain uncompromised.
In compliance with directives of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the state Ekiti State chapter of APC has slated its governorship primaries for January, ahead of the June 2022 governorship election.
