Oyo State Deputy Governor, Barrister Bayo Lawal, and his wife, Mrs Ajibola Lawal, have casted their votes at ward 6, unit 4, Koso area of Kisi, in Irepo Local Government Area.
The deputy governor and his wife arrived the polling unit round 9:32am and casted his vote around 9:35am.
Speaking after casting his vote, Lawal expressed satisfaction about the process, urging the electorate and party agents to stay around during the collation exercise to ensure that their votes count.
He said whatever the outcome of the exercise, candidates and residents of the state should take it in good faith.
The deputy governor urged electorate to be orderly and allow the process to be conducted peacefully so a as to have credible election and tell the whole world that Nigeria is ready for democracy.
“We have done the campaign for almost three months, today is the climax of the activities of the political parties and their candidates. Today will tell us whether we have done well as a government or not,” he said
Meanwhile, the turnout of electorate in Kisi was impressive compared to that of Igbeti, in Olorunsogo Local Government.
