The chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Mr Paul Omotoso, has regained freedom from his abductors, after spending five days in captivity.
According to family sources, Omotoso was released in the early hours of Thursday.
It was gathered that the gunmen had on Monday called the family to demand for a ransom before releasing the APC leader.
However, as of the time of filing this report, it could not be ascertained if a ransome was paid for his release.
The APC chairman was kidnapped by gunmen last Saturday between Agbado-Ekiti and Imesi-Ekiti road while coming from a wedding ceremony in Ikare area of Ondo State.
