As results of last Saturday’s presidential election continues to trickle in, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, is leading with 6,300,834 votes.
The results so far collated and announced at the national and state collation centres also showed that the candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, is second with 4,758,962 votes while the Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi, is in third position with 3,035,529 votes.
The candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, is in fourth position with 1,358,377 votes.
The 22 states where results have been collated so far are Adamawa, Kwara, Jigawa, Yobe, Oyo, Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Ekiti, Akwa Ibom, Enugu, Nasarawa, Lagos, Gombe, Niger, Kano, Benue, Plateau, Bayelsa, Bauchi, Kebbi and Kaduna.
The results indicated that Tinubu won in Kwara, Jigawa, Oyo, Ogun, Ondo, Ekiti, Benue and Niger States.
Atiku won in Adamawa, Yobe, Osun, Akwa Ibom, Gombe, Bayelsa, Kebbi, Bauchi and Kaduna States while Obi won in Enugu, Nasarawa, Lagos and Plateau.
