Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has explained what transpired when he met with the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, on Tuesday.
Recall that the duo met in London after some media houses reported that Tinubu was sick and hospitalised abroad.
The governor, who spoke to journalists at the Lagos House, Ikeja, on Wednesday, said that he discussed happenings in the APC and other national issues with Tinubu during the visit.
Sanwo-Olu also said that he took some pictures with Tinubu to dispel the rumours making the rounds that he was sick and hospitalised.
“You saw him in the picture, pictures don’t lie. He is well, healthy and we conversed. We talked about what is happening in our party and happenings in the nation.
“I went to see things for myself. It is just to put the mind and heart of people to rest that there is nothing for us to worry about,” the governor said.
When asked when Tinubu would likely return to Nigeria, Sanwo-Olu stated that only the APC leader can decide when he will return from his foreign trip, saying: “A man has discretion as to decide when to go out of the country and when to return. It is his call.”
