Operatives of the Edo State Police Command, in collaboration with other security agencies, vigilantes and hunters have rescued another female victim kidnapped during the attack on Igueben train station.
Recall that gunmen suspected to be kidnappers had on Saturday kidnapped 32 passengers waiting to board a train to Warri at the Igueben train station, in Igueben Local Government Area of Edo State.
The command’s spokesperson, SP Chidi Nwanbuzor, disclosed the victim’s rescue in a statement on Tuesday evening.
The victim was reportedly rescued by security agencies combing the area.
This comes less than 24 hours after a 65-year-old man, a nursing mother with her baby, a six-year-old girl, and two siblings aged two and five years old respectively were rescued.
The rescue of the female victim on Tuesday brought the total number of victims rescued so far to seven.
