The Code of Conduct Tribunal(CCT), on Thursday convicted the suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria(CJN), Walter Onnoghen and banned him from holding any public office for 10 years.
The three-man CCT panel led by Justice Danladi Umar also said Onnoghen is to forfeit the money in his five bank accounts that were not declared to the Nigerian Government because they were acquired illegally.
He was also stripped of all offices he has earlier occupied such as the Chairman of the National Judicial Council, the chairmanship of the Federal Judicial Service Commission, including his position as CJN.
