The All Progressives Congress (APC) has unveiled the timetable and schedule of activities for the forthcoming February 3, 2024 bye-elections, following the announcement of the date for the national and state assembly bye-elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The timetable was posted on the party’s X account on Monday and signed by the National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu.
The sale of expression of interest, nomination and delegates forms is between Wednesday, December 27, 2023 and January 2, 2024.
The last day for submission of completed expressions of interest, nomination and delegates forms with accompanying documents is Wednesday, January 3, 2024.
Composition of Screening, Screening Appeals, Delegate Election, Delegate Appeal, Primary Elections, Primary Elections Appeal Committees is Tuesday January 2, 2024.
Screening of all Aspirants, Screening Appeals, Election of Delegates and Delegates Appeal will hold between Thursday, January 4 and Friday, January 5, 2024.
The primary elections will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024, while the primary elections appeal day is Sunday, January 7, 2024.
The total price for the expression of interest and nomination forms for the Senate, House of Representatives, and House of Assembly is N20 million, N10 million, and N2 million respectively.
“Female aspirants and Persons Living with Disabilities are to purchase the expression of interest form while the nomination form is free,” Argungu noted.
He added that youths between the ages of 25 and 40 are to purchase the expression of interest form with a 50% discount on the nomination form.
“Expression of interest form and nomination form will be available for purchase at the Directorate of Organisation, 2nd Floor, APC National Headquarters, Wuse II, Abuja,” the statement read.
