The immediate past governor of Benue State, Dr Samuel Ortom, has distanced himself from the news making the rounds, especially on social media, that he has been nominated for a ministerial appointment.
Ortom, in a statement issued on Friday by his media aide, Terver Akase, described the news as “false and misleading.”
“The attention of the immediate past Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, has been drawn to the speculation on social media that he has been nominated for a ministerial appointment.
“We urge members of the public to disregard the report as it is false and misleading,” Akase said.
He appreciated those who took time to call and verify the information.
