The memo tiled ‘Handover by Caretaker Committee Members,’ directed Heads of Local Government Administration to take-over the administrative running and day-to-day operations of their respective councils.

“I wish to refer to the above subject and inform you that following the expiration of the three (3) months tenure extension given to all Caretaker Committee Members by the Oyo State House of Assembly which expires on Friday 19th March, 2021, members of the Committee are to vacate office latest by Thursday 18th March, 2021.

“To this end, in order to ensure continuity in all the Local Government Councils in the State, the Caretaker Chairmen should handover the administration to the Heads of Local Government Administration in their respective Councils before vacating their offices.

“Consequently, the Heads of Local Government Administration are hereby directed to take-over the administrative running and day-to-day operations of their respective Councils, effective from Friday, 19th March, 2021, pending the assumption of offices by elected officials,”the memo read.
