Oyo State Government has discharged 64 COVID-19 patients from its isolation facility, bringing the number of patients that have discharged in the state to 176.
Governor Seyi Makinde disclosed this on Friday in a post on Twitter.
“64 confirmed COVID-19 cases have received their second negative test results and have been discharged. This brings the number of discharged cases in Oyo State to 176,” he said.
The governor also said the COVID-19 confirmation tests for 36 suspected cases came back positive.
The development brings the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State to 434.
“Community-based testing for COVID-19 has commenced in ten Local Government Areas across the state; Oluyole, Lagelu, Ibadan South East, Ibadan North, Ibadan South West, Oyo East, Itesiwaju, Ogbomoso South, Ibarapa North and Saki East.
“Please call the Emergency Operations Centre on 08095394000 | 08095863000 | 08078288999 | 08078288800 or visit a community-based testing centre near you, if you have any COVID-19 symptoms: cough, fever, tiredness, body ache and shortness of breath,” the governor added.
