The Executive Secretary, Oyo State Health Insurance Agency (OYSHIA), Dr. Sola Akande, has urged Nigerians to take routine medical checkup serious in order to know the status of their health.
The OYSHIA boss gave the admonition while featuring on a radio programme in Ibadan over the weekend.
He said there are a lot of pressure in the country today, ranging from the issues that emanated from the last presidential election to naira redesign and cashless policy among others.
“It is crucial that all of us we check our health status. We have enough pressure in Nigeria today. Pressure of election is there, cashless, family and that of what to eat.
“It is important that all of us must know our status. The fact that we are jumping, talking, sitting down does not mean that we are healthy.
“Remember God has given us an opportunity to influence and affect people positively, don’t let us misuse that opportunity,” he admonished.
