Osun State Governor, Sen Ademola Adeleke, has imposed a curfew on Ilobu and Ifon communities over a communal clash that arose from a land dispute.
This was contained in a statement issued on Monday by the Commissioner of Information and Public Enlightenment, Hon Kolapo Alimi.
Adeleke directed the curfew to commence immediately to enforce law and order in the two communities.
The statement said human and vehicular movement is hereby restricted from 8pm to 6am till further notice.
The government warned that anyone caught wandering or moving around during the curfew period will be arrested and prosecuted appropriately.
The governor sued for peace between the two communities and asked that the ethos of peace, love and unity, which the state is known for be imbibed.
