The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) have directed their members to commence a nationwide strike from midnight on Monday, over the brutalisation on NLC president, Joe Ajaero, in Imo State.
The organised labour directed their affiliates to implement the resolutions of the National Executive Council.
TUC President, Festus Osifo, who addressed newsmen on Monday, said the strike would continue until “government at all levels wake up to their responsibility.”
Recall that the organised labour had on November 7, resolved to declare a nationwide strike by Tuesday, November 14, if their demands were not met.
