The Executive Secretary, Oyo State Health Insurance Agency (OYSHIA), Dr Sola Akande, has commended former governor of Oyo State, late Sen Abiola Ajimobi for approving health insurance scheme for the state.
Akande gave the commendation while featuring on South West Political Circuit, an interview programme on Ibadan-based Fresh 105.9FM, on Saturday.
“I have said it severally that life is about how many people you are able to influence. No matter how rich you are, you will be forgotten if that money is not spent on humanity.
“What makes people to be dear in our heart forever is how well they have touched lives, no other two ways.
“I thought late Governor Ajimobi would not approve that the agency should start, but I was shocked when he approved it. Oyo State will never forget the former Governor Ajimobi,” he said.
OYSHIA boss also lauded incumbent governor of the state, Engr Seyi Makinde, for sustaining all the good legacies left behind by the immediate past administration.
“When the present governor came in, he promised not to cancel anything good that the former administration put in place and he showed fidelity to that promise.
“Oyo State Health Insurance continues to progress under the present government and expansion has become wider, service delivery has become deeper and coverage has become enlarged,” Akande said.
