The Executive Secretary, Oyo State Health Insurance Agency(OYSHIA), Dr Sola Akande, has disclosed that the agency is collaborating with the Ministry of Education to fasten and fast track the enrollment of staff and students of all the tertiary institutions in the state.
According to Akande, student have access to the standard package once they pay, adding that the service will be available for them in the institutions’ sick bays.
He stated that they can access the services even while on holiday, stressing that they can visit any of the agency’s service providers in the state.
He also revealed that the agency has started the enrollment of newly recruited teachers in the state.
Akande said any interested teacher can go to any of the agency’s offices closest to them pick up the enrollment form. He said they should fill it and return to the same office.
“We have also completed the accreditation and reaccreditation exercise and some hospitals have been dropped, while new service providers have been enlisted into the scheme. And because of this movement, some enrollees have been moved to some hospitals for the time being and any enrollee that does not want the hospital that he or she have been moved to temporarily can visit our office to change to their preferred hospital.

“We have the Universal Health Coverage bouquet which we divided into the standard plan, family plan and the student package. The standard plan is N8,000 per individual and the plan for a family of four is N28,000. The student package is N2,800.
“We also have the top up plan, which is an upgrade on the Universal Health Coverage and we have the standard plus of N13,500 and standard peak at #100,800,” he said.
